Welcome to the section of the ISCP site for those undertaking Post-CCST training in Orthodontics. This details the 11 modules which form the basis of your training and provides information regarding the knowledge, skills, attitudes and competencies which you will acquire during this period. Information is also provided regarding the potential methods for assessing these competencies.
These modules were written by the Curriculum Working Party of the SAC. This was undertaken in conjunction with the writing of the updated GDC curriculum leading to the Membership examinations of the Royal Colleges (MOrthRCS) for all trainees in Orthodontics. The modular format is in accordance with modern educational practice, to assist teaching and assessment. This reflects the need for outcome based learning which is indicative of the competencies required at the varying levels of training within the specialty, together with the knowledge, skills and attitudes achieved by the trainee in acquiring those competencies.
