This new version of the ISCP, the first major rebuild since its launch in 2007, has been developed using feedback and the experience gained over the last nine years. We hope that users will find the new architecture simpler to use, more intuitive and inherently quicker.
Version 10 aims to rebalance the components of training so that the interaction between trainee and trainer is re-emphasised, encouraging trainers and trainees to use the ISCP in a way that supports freedom of expression.
A key feature of this is the promotion of feedback for learning through improvements to Workplace Based Assessment and the Learning Agreement. Version 10 has been designed to help users take ownership of the ISCP gaining the flexibility to make it match their needs. It represents a step change in its evolution and we hope it will continue to improve surgical training. We will welcome your feedback.
